Elise Schiller, 67, of Germantown, Pa., holds a photograph of her youngest daughter, Giana Natali, in her home on Friday, July 12, 2019. Schiller lost Natali at the age of 33 to a heroin overdose on January 3rd, 2014. Natali was a veterinary nurse who loved dogs and even rescued her dog Jade, 11, Pit Bull mix, who was dropped off at the emergency room and decided she couldn't abandon her. "Everything and every day she and I were very close," Schiller said. "We did a lot of traveling based on architecture, art, and historical places. She was like my little travel buddy. She would be proud of us for telling her story." (Philadelphia Inquirer)
